    Here at Ultimate Love Foundation, we rely on the support of individuals like you to carry out our vital work with Widows, Orphans, and Youths. This is why we want to be completely transparent about why we need the personal details we request when you communicate with us and how we use your data once we collect it.

    Your personal data helps us develop a better understanding of you(our esteem supporter) and this allows us to fundraise more efficiently. This ultimately helps raise more money that can go towards helping our target audience. We have made improvements to this notice so that accountability and transparency are at the core of what we do, especially around our policy on profiling and wealth screening in the “How do you use my information?” in the FAQ section. We take protecting your privacy very seriously and will always take all reasonable steps within our power to make sure your information is safe.

    WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

    One of the most important things we want to assure you of is that we NEVER sell or exchange your personal information with other organizations for marketing purposes.

    Please note also that you are in control of how we might hold or use your personal information – 

    • Your name, address, telephone number, mobile number email addresses

    • Contact preferences (how we should contact you in the future)

    • Bank account details

    • Gift Aid status

    • Date of birth

    • Records of your correspondence and engagement with us

    • Images, photographs, or video if you take part in an event with us, provided that you have given your consent.

    • Survey responses

    • Employer details and National Insurance number if you are a payroll donor

    • Details of your relationship to other supporters, where appropriate

    • Details about your health, should you sign up take part in activities which may involve some risk or physical exertion

    • Any paper forms you complete

    • Telephone conversations or face-to-face interviews

    • Digital forms uploaded on this website or from third-party websites such as Typeform.

    • Publicly available sources

    • Communication via social media

    If you visit our website or social media pages we may automatically collect the following information:

    • The pages you visit.

    • The amount of time you spent on our website.

    • Whether you are a new visitor.

    • How you come to our website(your traffic source)

    • The type of device and browser you use.

    Using your personal information

    We will use your information (see how we collect your information above) for the following purposes when it is in both your and our legitimate interests to do so.

    • To provide you with the service or information you have requested.

    • To administer your donations.

    • To tailor internet and social media advertising according to your interests, preferences, and the way you have used our website or social media pages.

    • To send you mailings or call you about how your donations are helping people and how you can help Ultimate Love Foundation continue its work to fight for the unfairly treated and help the less privileged have a chance at a better life.

    • To inform our marketing and raise more money for Ultimate Love Foundation in a cost-efficient way.

    With your consent we may also:

    • email or send you text messages with updates on projects that you have funded, new project appeals, other news, and information to help us achieve our desired goal.

    Your consent will be valid for at least three years unless you tell us otherwise. If you do not open our emails or respond to our text messages during a three-year period we will assume we no longer have consent to contact you in this way.

    We use external organizations to collect and/or process your personal information on our behalf. By agreeing to this Privacy Policy you are giving us a general written authorization to do so in relation to the third parties listed below:

    • Facebook – advertising

    • Google – website analytics and advertising

    This list is current as of the date of this Privacy Policy but may change from time to time as we look to work with partners who provide a great service and a good price. We will ensure that any future changes to this list are reflected in this Privacy Policy.

    In the process of working with an email service provider, your data may be transferred outside the EEA, to the US. Whenever we transfer your personal data out of the UK, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is implemented:

    • We will only transfer your personal data to countries that have been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection for personal data.

    • Where we use certain service providers, we may use specific contracts approved for use in the UK which give personal data the same protection it has in the UK.

    How long we keep your information for

    We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity. We may retain your personal data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation in respect to our relationship with you. 

    If you tell us you do not consent to receive our marketing, we will keep a record of your contact details to enable us to remove you from any contact lists now and in the future.

    Legacy income is vital to funding CARE International’s work. We may keep the personal information you provide to us for as long as is needed both to administer legacy gifts and to communicate effectively with the families of people leaving us legacies. This also enables us to identify and analyze the source of legacy income we receive.

    How do we protect your information? 

    We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information and keep it confidential, including SSL technology, encryption, and firewalls. 

    You are in control

    • You can change your mind about the consent you have given us for our marketing activities at any time.

    • You can ask us to stop using your information for any of the purposes listed above at any time.

    • You can request to see the information we hold about you at any time by sending an email and asking us to correct, delete or restrict it. Please note, there may be a small charge to cover administrative costs if you make multiple requests.

    • It is important that the personal data we hold about you is accurate and current. Please keep us informed if your personal data changes during your relationship with us.

    • You also have the right to ask us to move, copy or transfer the information we hold about you from our own IT environment to another of your choosing, in a safe and secure way.

    If you are not happy with the way we have processed your data you can make a complaint to our Supporter Love team (at the above contact details) – and if you aren’t happy with our response you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK’s Data Protection Authority – the Information Commissioner’s Office. Alternatively, you can go directly to them. We would, however, appreciate the chance to deal with your concerns before you approach the ICO so please contact us in the first instance. 

    Changes to this Privacy Policy

    This policy will be reviewed at least annually. The next review is planned for December 2022. If we make significant changes we will publish them clearly on our website or contact you directly with more information
